The Graduate School of Public Policy

The Graduate School of Public Policy Nazarbayev University (GSPP NU) aims to become the leading public policy school in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, conducting high-quality research and analysis on the region’s most pressing policy challenges whilst training the next generation of policy makers and leaders.

The strategic partner of the GSPP is the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKY School), National University of Singapore (NUS). The NUS is ranked № 1 in Asia for academic reputation, international faculty, and international students, and the 22nd among all universities in the world according to QS World University rankings, 2014.

The GSPP provides cutting-edge degree programmes designed and developed in collaboration with the LKY School where students will acquire world-class knowledge and skills applicable to Kazakhstani environment. Our classes are taught by international academics, practitioners as well as visiting professors from the LKY School. As a part of our courses, students will be given a study tour to the LKY School of Public Policy, Singapore. State grants are available.

How to apply to MPA program

Candidates for the MPA program at the Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Public Policy are expected to have at least three years of work experience in public institutions, national companies, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, foreign companies and business entities that involve extensive interaction with the public sector.

How to apply to MPP program

Candidates for the MPP program at the Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Public Policy are expected to have at least two years of work experience in public institutions, national companies, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, foreign companies and business entities that involve extensive interaction with the public sector. In exceptional cases, candidates without work experience but with records of excellent undergraduate or graduate academic achievements will also be considered.
