You use different views within the authoring portlet to
perform different tasks.
View types
You can navigate through lists of
items using the authoring portlet navigator.
- The library explorer
- The library explorer displays different lists of items you have
access to. You can select a library and navigate through the different
item-type views within each library. You can choose to display an
explorer tree to assist you navigate through the items in each library.
This view is the default view when you first access the authoring
portlet.
- Item views
You use this view to quickly display lists of related items:
- Use the All items view to select different
views by item type and item state.
- Use the Deleted items view to view deleted
items.
- Use the External links view to view links
that have been referenced in link elements.
- Use the Projects view to select different
list of projects.
- Group by Views
You can view filtered lists of related items from the "Group
by" navigator:
- Content by authoring template
- Items by category
- Items by workflow
- Personal views
You use this view to display lists of:
- Recent items, which are items you have
created, viewed or edited in the current session
- Favorite items, which are items you have
marked as "favorites"
- Favorite locations, which are views you
have marked as "favorites"
- My items, which include items where you
are specified as an author
- My pending approvals, which are items pending
approval where you are individually specified as an approver
Open views and items
Any views or items
that are currently open are listed in the Open Views or Open
Items navigator.
Expired items
By default, expired items
are displayed alongside published items.
To determine if expired
items are listed in views, you can specify the
wcm.authoringui.showexpireditems property
in the
WCM WCMConfigService service using the
IBM® WebSphere® Application
Server administration
console:
- If set to true, expired items are displayed alongside
published items.
- If set to false, only published items are displayed.
- If not specified, this setting defaults to true.
